Udhampur, Dec. 28 -- Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Cooperative Election Javed Dar on Sunday said Kisan Melas help bridge the gap between the government and farmers, ensuring that benefits of schemes reach the grassroots.
Speaking to reporters during a Kisan Mela in Udhampur, Dar said the programmes aim to create awareness among farmers and youth about various Central and UT government schemes. He said several areas of the district had remained neglected for decades, but the present elected government is focused on inclusive development.
