Srinagar, Sept. 16 -- J&K Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) General Secretary Khurshid Alam on Tuesday reaffirmed the party's commitment to safeguard the political dignity and democratic aspirations of the people, as he addressed a well-attended meeting at Hassanabad.

In a statement issued, "Our struggle has never been about positions or power. It has always been about the people and their right to live with honour," Alam said, while stressing that the PDP continues to be the only political force that stands by Kashmiris in both turbulent and testing times.

"We do not believe in hollow rhetoric. We believe in trust, truth, and real empowerment of our people," he added.
