Srinagar, July 20 -- Residents of Malik Sahib Gojwara in Ward No. 8 of Khanyar, Srinagar, say they are facing severe hardships due to the deteriorated condition of roads and drainage in the area.
According to locals, the damaged and waterlogged lanes have made daily life increasingly difficult, especially for school-going children, elderly people, women, and patients. They say the situation worsens during rains, when stagnant water accumulates and turns the streets into pond-like zones, making pedestrian movement nearly impossible.
Residents further said the area includes a 'Sane Kids School and a Marriage Hall, both attracting daily footfall, and that the poor state of infrastructure causes serious inconvenience to visitors and locals ...
