Srinagar, Nov. 1 -- The much-awaited Kashmir to Kanyakumari (K2K) Cycling Expedition was ceremoniously flagged off today from TRC Stadium, Srinagar, by Ms. Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council. The event marks the celebration of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's 150th birth anniversary, symbolizing the spirit of national integration and unity that the Iron Man of India envisioned.

A total of 150 cyclists from across India have embarked on this remarkable journey, including 20 women and one cyclist from Kashmir, Rafiq Ahmad. Adding to the inspiration is Tamim Ansari, a para-cyclist from Chennai, whose participation stands as a testament to determination and inclusivity in Indian sports.
