Srinagar, Jan. 23 -- Power supply across the Kashmir Valley was severely affected on Thursday, with the active load dropping to less than 100 MW against the usual demand of around 1,700 MW, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said. In a post on X, the chief minister said the disruption was primarily due to the outage of almost all 33 KV feeders, including those supplying electricity to emergency services. He said teams of the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) are working on the ground to restore supply.
