Srinagar, July 3 -- In the run-up to the 26th Kargil Vijay Diwas, a delegation of military veterans and Veer Naris (war widows) visited the Chinar Corps headquarters in Srinagar to honour the courage and sacrifices of Indian soldiers during the 1999 Kargil War.

The visit was part of a special initiative by the Akhil Bhartiya Poorva Sainik Seva Parishad. The team was led by Rear Admiral Rajvir Singh (Retd), former Principal of the Indian Naval Academy. On July 2, they arrived at the Badami Bagh Cantonment and paid floral tributes at the Chinar War Memorial.
