Srinagar, Jan. 21 -- Residents of Poshkar Kangan in central Kashmir's Ganderbal district on Tuesday blocked the Kangan-Poshkar road for several hours to protest against the failure of Power Development Department (PDD) in delivering the transformer to the village after it developed a snag.

According to KNS correspondent, the concerned SHO reached the spot and assured the protesters that the damaged transformer will be repaired within days.

Meanwhile the residents of various areas of Handwara in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Tuesday also complained of unscheduled power cuts in the area.
