Srinagar, July 12 -- Director of Health Services Kashmir, Dr. Jehangir Bakshi, on Saturday said the 145-year-old Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial (JLNM) Hospital is on track to be developed into a full-fledged Apex Super Speciality Institute under the Directorate of Health.

"This hospital has been serving people for centuries, and our focus now is to make it an apex institute," Dr. Bakshi said while speaking to reporters. "Very soon, all the new and high-tech machines will be installed here to expand the range of services," he added,

"JLNM Hospital is continuously expanding. Every year, we try to add new departments, new facilities, and modern equipment. MRI will be installed soon, and new allergy testing machines are on the way," he said.
