New Delhi, July 22 -- (KNS) The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) held a protest at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday, demanding the restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

The protest was held under the party's "Delhi Chalo" programme and was led by JKPCC President Tariq Hameed Karra. Party members from various districts of Jammu and Kashmir participated in the demonstration, holding placards and raising slogans demanding the fulfillment of the Centre's earlier commitment on statehood.

Tariq Hameed Karra said that the protest was aimed at pressing for what he described as the constitutional right of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
