Srinagar, Dec. 16 -- The J&K Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian has strongly condemned the reported incident involving the Chief Minister of Bihar, wherein a woman doctor's hijab was allegedly pulled down on a public platform, terming the act shameful and unacceptable.

In a statement issued here, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Almosvi Alsafvi, President of the J&K Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian, said the incident was not a mere lapse of conduct but reflected arrogance, insensitivity, and a blatant disregard for religious freedom and the dignity of women.
