Jammu, March 19 -- A Court in Jammu has issued a non-bailable warrant against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Mehraj Malik in connection with a defamation case filed by former MLA and minister Ghulam Mohammad Saroori [Ghulam Mohammad Saroori V/s Mehraj Malik].

Special Excise Mobile Magistrate at Jammu directed the SHO of Police Station Gundoh to arrest the accused and produce him before the Court on May 14.

"Whereas accused Mehraj Din Malik S/o Shamas Din Malik stands charged with the offence under Section 499 of the Indian Penal Code. You are hereby directed to arrest the said accused and to produce him before me on 17-05-2025," the Court said in its order of March 17.
