Jammu, Sept. 24 -- The Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development (JAKEDA), Department of Science & Technology, in collaboration with MNRE & GIZ conducted an awareness cum capacity building workshop at Townhall, Anantnag, for sensitization of farmers regarding use of Solar Energy for powering of irrigation pumps under PM-KUSUM Scheme

According to Press Release Issued here, The occasion was attended by ADDC, Anantnag, CEO Municipal Council Anantnag, M. A. Malik, Dy. CEO, JAKEDA, and officers from JAKEDA, Horticulture and Agriculture departments.

The capacity building of the farmers was carried out by Dr. Jaswant Singh Kalsi (ASCI) and Dr. Ruchi Gupta (GIZ) on behalf of Ministry of New &Renewable Energy, MNRE.
