Srinagar, Dec. 31 -- IRS (IT) officers of 2016 batch promoted to Joint Commissioners

Two Indian Revenue Service (Income Tax) officers of the 2016 batch from Jammu and Kashmir have been promoted to the rank of Joint Commissioner, the Ministry of Finance announced on wednesday.

Syed Junaid Aadil, currently Deputy Director of Income Tax (Investigation), Kashmir, and Shakil Ahmad Ganie, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax, Kashmir, have both been elevated to the new post, officials said. The promotion is expected to assign them greater responsibilities in tax administration and oversight.
