Jammu, May 12 -- The Indian Premier League (IPL), suspended due to the India-Pakistan military conflict, is likely to resume on May 16 or 17. The final may also be shifted from Kolkata because of rain forecasts.
The ceasefire announced on Saturday opened the door for the tournament's return. BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla confirmed on Sunday that discussions are ongoing, with efforts underway to finalize a new schedule soon.
An IPL source revealed that the league will restart with the previously scheduled match between Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Lucknow. A finalised schedule is expected by Monday.
