Jammu, May 23 -- President Donald Trump has announced that he is "recommending" a 50% tariff on goods imported from the European Union to the United States.

In a post on social media on Friday, Trump expressed frustration over stalled negotiations with EU representatives.

"Our discussions with them are going nowhere!" he wrote.

This development marks a significant escalation in Trump's ongoing trade dispute with the European Union, which currently faces a 10% tariff on goods entering the U.S.
