Ahmedabad, Feb. 22 -- South Africa ended India's 17-match winning streak in ICC white-ball tournaments with a commanding 76-run victory at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Chasing 187 in their Super Eights opener, India were bowled out for 111 in 18.5 overs - their biggest defeat by runs in T20 World Cup history.

India's batting collapsed early. Ishan Kishan fell for a duck in the first over, while Tilak Varma and Abhishek Sharma also departed cheaply. The top order failed to handle the disciplined South African bowling attack, and the innings never recovered. At 51 for 5, the contest was almost sealed.
