In a remarkable display of courage and compassion, Indian Army troops of the Shakti Vijay Brigade, along with the BSF, carried out a swift rescue operation in the Ragini-Taya area of Tangdhar following sudden and heavy snowfall that left several civilians and their livestock stranded.

Reports state that residents from Kadama village had spent the summer months in Dhok Asmala along with their cattle and livestock. As the region experienced its first snowfall of the season, the families were returning to their native villages when three vehicles became trapped in thick snow along the Ragini-Taya road.
