London, July 24 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking after talks with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, hailed the signing of the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) between India and the United Kingdom as a "historic day" in bilateral relations, calling it a roadmap for shared prosperity.

"After years of hard work, this agreement is not just about economic partnership but a plan for shared growth," PM Modi said as per KNS.

The deal will give Indian textiles, footwear, gems and jewellery, seafood, engineering goods, and agricultural produce better access to the UK market.
