Srinagar, May 18 -- Jammu and Kashmir continued to reel under severe heatwave conditions on Sunday, with Srinagar recording the hottest day of the season for the second consecutive day at 32.2degC, according to Kashmir News Service.
Qazigund also witnessed the season's highest temperature at 33.0degC. In south Kashmir, Kokernag recorded 31.4degC, and the tourist resort of Pahalgam touched 27.2degC. Kupwara in north Kashmir saw 29.9degC, while Gulmarg recorded a relatively cooler 23.6degC.
Heatwave conditions persisted in the Jammu region as well, where Jammu city recorded a scorching 40.0degC. Other areas including Banihal, Batote, Bhaderwah, and Katra also reported temperatures above 30degC.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
