Handwara, Sept. 29 -- In its continued efforts to eradicate the menace of narcotic drugs and to safeguard the youth from the ill effects of substance abuse, Handwara Police today carried out a massive wild bhung (cannabis) destruction drive in and around Qalamabad Market. The drive was conducted with the active participation of Revenue Department officials.

During the operation, large stretches of wild bhung plants were identified and destroyed to prevent their misuse in the illegal drug trade.
