Srinagar, July 31 -- Tariq Hameed Karra, President of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) & MLA Shalteng has announced a peaceful protests from August 1 to 21, demanding the restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

Talking to media, Karra said as part of its 'Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq' campaign, the Congress will organise various programmes from August 1 to 21. "We will observe August 5 as a black day. It is the blackest day in the history of J-K. There will also be a hunger strike on August 9," he said.
