Members of the Gujjar-Bakarwal community living near the Tawi River in Jammu have issued a heartfelt appeal to the UT administration, seeking urgent measures to protect their lives and livelihoods from recurring floods and poor road conditions.
The community, which has been residing in the area for over 40 years, said every flood brings destruction damaging homes, sweeping away livestock, and cutting off access to schools for their children.
