Srinagar, July 29 -- The Jammu and Kashmir government has set up a high-level committee to investigate cracks that have appeared on the Bemina Flyover, a key part of the Srinagar-Baramulla Highway Bypass.
The move follows public concerns about the safety of the flyover, which handles thousands of vehicles every day.
According to Government Order No. 989-JK(GAD) of 2025, the committee will be led by the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar and include senior engineers from the Public Works (R&B) Department, Srinagar Smart City Limited, Design Inspection and Quality Control, and Traffic Police Srinagar.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelA structural expert from NIT Srinagar has also been roped in for technical analysis.
