Srinagar, June 19 -- Residents of Gousia Colony (Lane B) in central Srinagar are raising serious concerns after a key drainage project remains incomplete even a year after its initiation-despite full payment allegedly being released to contractors.

Locals report that at least six drainage pipes are missing, and the soling material initially laid has been removed. The road remains ungraded and muddy, making it nearly impossible to use, especially during rains. Residents claim that no physical verification was carried out before payments were cleared.
