Tangmarg, Nov. 22 -- Former Cabinet Minister and Apni Party Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir, has extended heartfelt thanks to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for reopening the Drang tourist destination, a long-pending demand of local stakeholders whose livelihoods were severely impacted by the closure.

In a statement issued, Mir said that the decision has brought much-needed relief to hundreds of families dependent on tourism in the area. "The reopening of Drang is a welcome and timely step. I am truly thankful to the Hon'ble LG for addressing the genuine concerns of the people and supporting those whose bread and butter comes from this sector," he stated.
