Srinagar, Oct. 9 -- The General Secretary of the Jammu & Kashmir Peoples Conference and President of the All JK Shia Association today took a jibe at the Chief Minister over his unfulfilled promise of a "mass signature campaign" in support of restoring statehood to Jammu & Kashmir.

Referring to the CM's Independence Day speech earlier this year, he said, "In his grand Independence Day address, our CM Sahib had made quite a dramatic announcement, remember? He promised that his party would collect lakhs of signatures within eight weeks, all in support of restoring statehood, and proudly march them to the Supreme Court before the October 10 hearing.
