Ganderbal, Nov. 6 -- In a significant success, Ganderbal Police have arrested a kidnapper and successfully rescued the abducted girl, following a swift and well-coordinated operation, officials said.

"Acting on specific intelligence and under the directions of SSP Ganderbal, Khalil Ahmad Poswal, a dedicated police team from Police Post Shadipora traced and apprehended the accused, Firdous Rustum Khan, son of Rustum Ali Khan, resident of Shatigam, Handwara, from the state of Himachal Pradesh," said an official.
