Srinagar, Sept. 6 -- A delegation from the Shaheed Singhs Welfare Organization, Chittisinghpora, led by its Chairman S. Jagjeet Singh, met Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha today to raise concerns over the massacre of 35 Sikhs by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists on March 20, 2000, in Anantnag.
The delegation urged the administration to conduct a fresh inquiry into the incident and sought justice for the families of the martyred civilians. They also highlighted several welfare demands, including compassionate appointments under SRO-43, equal benefits for next of kin like those provided to non-migrant Kashmiri Pandits, reservation in educational institutions, and financial assistance to build a memorial at Chittisinghpora.Click Here To Fol...
