Srinagar, Jan. 10 -- National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Saturday said that India's independence came after generations faced suffering, destruction and loss.

Speaking at the opening session of the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue, Doval said that young people should learn from history and work towards nation-building based on values, rights and beliefs.

He said India was not always free and that earlier generations faced executions, destruction of villages and damage to civilisation.

Ajit Doval said that history presents lessons and warned that ignoring them leads to national loss. He said that the country must focus on building India based on its own values and interests.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
