Srinagar, Oct. 3 -- A large group of aspirants for the Fire and Emergency Services recruitment staged a protest in Srinagar on Friday, alleging irregularities in the selection process and demanding the release of a long-awaited inquiry report.
Gathering at the Press Colony in the heart of the city, the protesters - many of whom had traveled from different districts across Kashmir - raised slogans demanding justice and transparency.
They claimed that despite assurances from the government, the findings of a probe into alleged recruitment malpractice have not been made public.
