Srinagar, Nov. 22 -- After remaining closed for several months due to security concerns, the popular tourist destination Drung in Gulmarg is set to reopen for visitors tomorrow, bringing fresh hope to the tourism sector ahead of the winter season.

The closure of Drung and other key tourist spots followed heightened security threats after a major terror attack in Pahalgam in April 2025. However, following positive security assessments by both civil and police administration, authorities have now approved the reopening of Drung in Tangmarg.
