Baramulla, Oct. 8 -- Continuing its drive against drug menace, Baramulla Police said it arrested a drug peddler and recovered narcotic substance from his possession in Kunzer area of the district.

A police official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that acting on specific information, a naka was laid at Batapora near Public Park Kunzer. During checking, an Alto K-10 vehicle (registration number JK05N-9956) was seen approaching the checkpoint in a suspicious manner.

"On noticing the police party, the driver attempted to flee from the spot but was swiftly intercepted by the alert personnel," the official said.

He identified the accused as Gulzar Ahmed Kuthoo, son of Abdul Majeed Kuthoo, resident of Merchipora Tangmarg.Click Here To Follow ...
