Jammu, May 8 -- The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah Thursday expressed deep sorrow over the loss of 13 civilian lives following heavy shelling by Pakistan Army in LoC areas particularly in Poonch. He has prayed for speedy recovery of those who got injured in the shelling.

Dr. Abdullah conveyed his sentiments while meeting with party office bearers at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, in Srinagar. He shared the pain felt by party members over the tragic loss of lives, injuries, and damage to properties and livestock. Dr. Farooq expressed solidarity with the families of the victims and assured them that the party stands with them during this challenging time.
