Srinagar, April 6 -- The President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, has expressed profound sadness and sorrow over the tragic fire incident at Shah-r-Hamdan (RA) Darul Uloom in Tral.

The incident resulted in the loss of life of a 10-year-old boy, Yasir Ahmad, son of Bashir Ahmad of Karmulla Tral, and left several others injured.

Describing the incident as extremely distressing and heart-wrenching, Dr. Farooq Abdullah extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the young child.

He prayed for the child's magfirah, asking Almighty Allah to grant him a place in Jannat-ul-Firdous and to give patience to his grieving parents and loved ones.
