Srinagar, Nov. 19 -- J&K Director General Police (DGP) Dilbagh Singh on Tuesday denied the reports that some political leaders, who are detained at MLA Hostel were manhandled by security personnel on Sunday during their shifting from Centaur hotel.

In an interview with a national news channel, he termed the reports of manhandling of detained leaders as baseless and said no such incident happened. He also stated that situation in Kashmir was returning to normalcy.

33 politicians, including former ministers and legislators, who were detained at Centaur hotel-turned-sub-jail after August 5 when the Center abrogated the special status of Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370, were shifted to MLA Hostel here on Sunday.
