Following the recent Pahalgam attack, heightened Indo-Pak tensions, and the success of Operation Sandur, the residents of Karnah valley faced delays in migrating to their traditional summer pastures (locally known as Bahaks). Due to security concerns, obtaining the required travel permits was challenging this year, resulting in an almost two-month delay for many families.
To alleviate the locals' hardships, the Indian Army took a significant step by providing an alternate, easier route through the Kukwah Gali pass.
