Shopian Dec 14 (KNS), Dec. 14 -- In a major step to tackle water scarcity and strengthen climate resilience, District Development Commissioner Shopian, Shishir Gupta, IAS, has launched the Springshed Climate Adaptability Project in Zainapora, one of the most water-stressed blocks of the district.
Approved under NABARD's Climate and Natural Resource Management grants, the project aims to revive natural springs, recharge groundwater, improve irrigation facilities, and promote sustainable farming practices to secure long-term livelihoods for local communities.
