New Delhi, July 5 -- The Communist Party of India (Marxist) has extended its full support to the global campaign 'Silence for Gaza', calling on people across the country to join a symbolic digital protest against the ongoing Israeli assault on Gaza.

As part of the campaign, people are urged to switch off their mobile phones daily from 9:00 PM to 9:30 PM (local time) and refrain from any online activity-including posting, liking, or commenting on social media-during that period. The aim is to disrupt the digital footprint that global corporations profit from, many of which, a UN report suggests, are complicit in Israel's actions in Gaza.
