Jammu, Dec. 15 -- A policeman was killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in a remote forest village of Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday evening, officials said.
The gunfight broke out at Soan village in the Majalta area after security forces launched a search operation following specific information about the presence of three terrorists, suspected to be linked to the Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad outfit.
Inspector General of Police, Jammu, Bhim Sen Tuti said contact was established after police received precise intelligence inputs. A joint team of the Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Army and the CRPF was engaged in the operation, he said.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsAp...
