Jammu, June 15 -- Srinagar, June 15(KNS) National Conference chief spokesperson and Zadibal MLA Tanvir Sadiq on Sunday said the BJP is giving a religious angle to the Urdu language, which he termed as historically inaccurate and factually wrong.
Speaking to KNS, he said Urdu is not associated with any class, region, or religion, but is a historical and administrative language used in Jammu and Kashmir for over 130 years. He said during the reign of the Maharaja, all administrative work was conducted in Persian, but later Urdu was adopted as a unifying language.
