Srinagar, Nov. 8 -- The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) unit of Jammu and Kashmir Police on Saturday carried out searches in several jails across the Valley, officials said.

The operation took place at Central Jail Srinagar and District Jail Kupwara. Officials said the searches were conducted to find any illegal material or activity inside the jails.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

They added that legal action will be taken if anything unlawful is recovered.

Officials have not shared details about any recovery so far. More information is expected once the searches are completed.(KNS)
