Kupwara, March 21 -- Amid worsening electricity woes in the villages of Kashmir, Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Irfan Sultan Pandithpori, has written to Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, urging immediate intervention to ensure uninterrupted power supply, particularly during Sehri and Iftiyar times in the holy month of Ramzan.

In his letter, Pandithpori highlighted the immense hardships faced by people, especially in rural areas, due to frequent and prolonged power cuts. He emphasized that the absence of electricity at crucial times is disrupting daily life and religious practices, making it difficult for people to prepare meals for fasting, offer prayers, and manage other essential activities.
