New Delhi, June 28 -- The Central Government will hold a key meeting of Cooperation Ministers from all States and Union Territories on Monday, July 1, to discuss strategies for strengthening the cooperative sector across the country.

The meeting, titled 'Manthan Baithak', will be chaired by Union Minister for Cooperation, Amit Shah, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

An official statement said the meeting will focus on major government initiatives, including the formation of 2 lakh new Multi-purpose Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), as well as dairy and fisheries cooperatives aimed at enhancing last-mile service delivery in rural areas.
