Srinagar, Jan. 8 -- The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the schedule for house listing operations for Census 2027, which will be conducted across all states and Union Territories from April 1 to September 30, 2026.

According to news agency KNS, a notification issued by the Office of the Registrar General of India states that the house listing exercise will be carried out over a period of 30 days. Each state and Union Territory will be assigned a specific time frame within the notified window to complete the process.
