Srinagar, Nov. 7 -- The Economic Offences Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir has filed a charge-sheet against ten individuals in a major land compensation fraud case in Anantnag district.

The charge-sheet, filed before the Court of Special Judge Anti-Corruption Anantnag, pertains to FIR No. 12/2015 under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471, and 120-B of the RPC, read with Section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Investigations revealed that several officials of the Revenue Department, including the then Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, Girdawar, and Pathwari of Dooru, allegedly conspired with private individuals to forge and manipulate land records.
