BUDGAM, Nov. 9 -- Campaigning for the 27 Budgam Assembly Constituency bye-election ended this evening as the district entered the mandatory silence period.

According to an order a copy of which lies with KNS, reads thatDistrict Magistrate and District Election Officer Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat issued prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNSS) across Budgam district. The restrictions will remain in force from 6:00 pm on November 9 to 6:00 pm on November 11, coinciding with the polling schedule.
