Dubai, Sept. 25 -- Star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been named in India's Test squad for the upcoming two-match home series against the West Indies starting October 2 in Ahmedabad.

Bumrah, who featured in only three of the five Tests in England due to workload management, has made himself available for both matches. The second Test will be played in Delhi from October 10.

Ravindra Jadeja has been appointed vice-captain, while Shubman Gill will lead the side. Devdutt Padikkal replaced Karun Nair, who has been struggling for form.

Chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar said the team must balance Bumrah's workload with future tournaments in mind. "We want the best for Bumrah but team always comes first. We have to be careful with big tournaments...
