Srinagar, Jan. 9 -- A severe cold wave continued to grip Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on Friday, with several places in the Kashmir Valley and the cold desert region recording sub-zero minimum temperatures, officials said. In Kashmir, Shopian was the coldest at minus 7.7 degrees Celsius, followed by Pahalgam at minus 7.6 degrees and Pulwama at minus 7.5 degrees. Srinagar recorded a low of minus 6.0 degrees, while the temperature at Srinagar Airport dipped further to minus 7.4 degrees.
