Bandipora, March 21 -- The residents of Kharpora locality in Bandipora district are aghast after a land owner closed approach road and started construction work on it.

Locals said that the land owner closed the approach road, which is the only motorable link for the locality, thereby making them suffer a lot.

They said that the land owner suddenly started construct work on the road and diverted the link from where a vehicle can hardly pass.

"The land owner is already getting rent from the authorities concerned as compensation for providing passage via land.
