The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday told the Assembly that Bandipora town has been included under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme, and several pending urban development projects will be executed under the UT Capex Plan in the coming financial years.
Responding to a question by MLA Nizam-ud-Din Bhat, the Housing and Urban Development Department said a Water Supply Scheme for Bandipora town was initially proposed under AMRUT 2.0 but could not be taken up due to funding limits. The Union Territory Level Steering Committee has now decided to cover such projects under the Capex budget on a priority basis.
